So I figured since I went over 18 years, I would now go over the more recent things in my life. Like:
Prom: To be honest... was kind of a let down. I went with Zack Sayles, who is one of my really good guy friends, more like a brother to me actually and well first of all, I wasn't even in a group with my best friend, Robyn, which SUCKED. Seeing as the boys in my group always depended on us two to get everything organized. We always planned everything for all the other dances and made sure we had set times so that everything ran smoothly. Prom was the total opposite...
I didn't even know what we were doing for our day date til like literally the morning of.. I called Zack when I woke up around 11, and he was just getting up. He was like ooh get ready and we will be there
NO idea what we were doing. We had to pick up Rick's date, Elle Taylor, and that took about another half hour. Finally we met up with the rest of the group... in this old CELLAR! I was like are you kidding me? Next thing we knew they broke out a bunch of glow sticks and we had a glow stick war. Which I will admit was fun for like.. 10 minutes til we ran out of glow sticks. Then we sat there for probably a good half hour.. in this cold, dark cellar... doing NOTHING. I was about to freak out when Rick said lets go bowling. We went to the bowling alley and to our luck.. there was a bowling tournament going on so we couldn't even bowl. By this point I was really annoyed and just wanted to go home and start getting ready. But then Rick had another brilliant idea... lets play the arcade games. Okay, there is like seven in the Burley bowling alley so that got bored quick. Finally I told Zack I was ready to go home and he took me there.
I was SO stressed out! I felt like I wasn't going to have enough time to have my hair done, do my makeup, get dressed take pictures, you know the normal caous that dances bring.. on top of that my dad was telling me to stop by ALL my grandparents houses cuz they wanted to see me... he has NO concept of time and Schows are known for being late to everything.. haha
Zack and Moi picked me up and I told them we had to stop both my grandparents houses (who live in Rupert) they INSISTED on picked up Moi's date first who lives clear in Burley.. I think that just men in general have no concept of time. To make a long story short we were late to pictures, which made us late to dinner, which by the way was awesome. It was at Keelan's grandmas house and they did an amazing job decorating and the food was great too.
The actual dance part was pretty fun, it was cool to see everyone in there dresses and funny to see all the boys all cleaned up!
Graduation: My senior year went by SOO fast. Everyone always told me it would, but I didn't really believe it. Now it has come and gone and high school is over with. Its kind of sad to think about but there are defiantly things that I won't miss! Mainly the drama. I think most girls will agree that the drama in high school is absolutely ridiculous.
So yea I finally graduated, from Minico, kind of weird cuz pretty much my whole family has graduated from there including aunts uncles parents and i think even my grandparents.. so I guess it just was destiny! The sad thing is I didn't learn one thing this whole entire year, haha luckily i went to Skyview (in Smithfeild) the first three years of my high school career! Or i wouldn't be ready for college at all.
Soo they give me my diploma and it read "Kourtney Lou Schow" funny thing is I don't even have a middle name soo I am not quite sure where they got Lou.
Graduation was fun because I had alot of family down. It kind of sucked because they had it inside due to the weather soo we were only able to invite 7 people.. but between Nick and I we had enough tickets and the important people were there!
Its kind of weird to think that I won't ever see most of those people again, but I know that I will meet new people and I wish the best to those people from the past!
Now I am just getting ready for college. I am going to Idaho State University this coming fall and I have NO idea what I want to do. I have changed my mind soo much already. Its gone from psychiatrist, teacher, cosmetologist, fashion designer I just don't know what I would be good at! But I guess I have some time to think about it so I am not too worried.. yet anyways!
